In case you've been wondering where to get cute anime wallpapers- I wanna share this link. I've bumped into it occasionally and found it to be really good.

Everybody post something about Xmas and me not, don't wanna be worse than others so I post too, but since I don't really have my own thoughts about Xmas I used those of someone whose writings I like;-)

I know you can get avatars from all around the net, and most of people seem to do it that way.
I know there are people who make avatars themselves, and I'm one of them.
I like to choose exactly what I want, and I also just like the process of making them.
I know some people post their hand-made avatars in LJs and communities, I guess it's for others to use. Some make avatars for specific orders. I've been thinking of it as well, but I'm always stopped by the thought "What if people wouldn't like it? What if I make an avatar for someone, and he/she wouldn't be happy with it?"
So only making them for myself. But people say they are nice...
Just in case: if anyone has been desperately wanting an anime avatar for a long time but couldn't get it - maybe I can help with it... Available animes would be Yami no Matsuei, Inuyasha, Weiss Kreuz, Ouran School Host Club, Loveless, Hellsing, Saiyuki, Gundam Wing. Maybe something else, but those ones for sure.
As for my own avatars, I'm planning to make a new set, this time made of manga, not anime. That means they will be black and white, and I think maybe put some inscriptions on them as well... I wanna use pictures of Count D, Q-chan, Count Cain, and Jezebel Disraeli.
I think my old avatars are also nice, and I know some people like them. Does it make sense for me to put them somewhere here, so if someone want to use them they can just come and take? Maybe make a webpage and like it to journal... I don't know. I have quite a high opinion of my avatar-making skills, but still in doubts...

Goodness knows what those memes are, I probably need to make a separate post asking questions about LJ etiquette which I'm so completely unfamiliar with.

Hmm...

My username is "elven_alchemist" because my first larp character was an Elf and an Alchemist, and I'm generally very fond of Elves and larps;-)

My journal is titled "Duskbird" because this is how dariyan said she sees me, and I liked that;-)

My subtitle is "I live in Darkness" because this is how I currently feel.

My friend page is called "Dark Side around" because I'm a Sith Apprentice in training, so I'm learning to see the Dark Side everywhere.
(Note: Dark Side is not necessarily something bad, and to see it is not bad at all anyway, so don't think I'm weird to my friends;-)))))

My default userpic is Agatsuma Soubi from "Loveless" anime, because he's cute;-))) I think it might represent the moment when he says "I'm not a pervert". Maybe I should add this phrase to the pic?
All my current userpics are from anime because I am a big anime fan. "Loveless" is one of the cutests;-))

In fact, all those things are soon to be changed apart from the username. I change them from time to time, as well as LJ layout, all depending on how I currently feel.

P.S. Oh well, and now after filling this the wish to change suddenly increased...

Well, actually, after you watch it too much, there is no sanity left, so nothing on which it can have bad effect.
So anime is ok.
I want ears. I so want anime cat ears. Yay.
Holy Wiki thinks that there is an ear fetishism. I wonder if this is what I have. I didn't read the fetishism article carefully so not sure what fetishism is, but ears are sooooo cuuuuute!
I still wonder if they would suit me. Vak.

I need to change avatars. I wanna have more kawaii (cute) stuff. I've always been happy with one avatar, then found it's nice to have more. Now can have 15 - but that's so few!!!
Need to check how expensive is paid option. It allows 100 avatars. Mew.
It's really difficult to choose, yup, but I know for sure that all my avatars would be made of anime pictures.

After watching too much of Inuyasha recently and re-watching Yami no Matsuei I came to the idea that I want those anime ears. I even know one place where I can buy them, but they are not really impressive there. I think I'd better wait and see if I find more pretty ears.
I wonder if they would look good on me.

And also in the last few days I happenned to come to the office kitchen in the right moment - when someone was making coffee and milk fluff for it. And I got it every time.

I feel freaky.
I received an email that was CC'ed to me (so I'm not the main recepient), and it was addressed to someone named Victoria. I felt completely as if it was addressed to me (explanation for those who do not belong to anime freaks: Victoria is the name of the person on my avatar). Well, watched "Hellsing" again just on Monday...
The IT Guru guy said he's gonna be away next week, mountain climbing, and for the question about where he's going he answered: "To the West" (explanation for those who do not belong to Tolkien freaks: Tolkien's elves' main idea is to travel to the West, to the land of Valinor where they are going live happily ever after (they have left it following the greatest freak of Middle-Earth, but that's a long story).
I've read a surname Smith wrongly. It's difficult to read this surname wrongly, bu I managed. I read it as Sith (explanation for those who do not belong to Star Wars freaks: the Sith Lords are the "bad" guys).
I definitely need a rest. Looking forward to relaxing during the upcoming weekend. I'm not gonna fight. I'm gonna relax and restore my Health Points (explanation for those who do not belong to larp/game freaks: I'm gonna bring myself back to functioning normally).
Bloody hungry. And still a whole half-an-hour till lunch.
