Healing, two shirts, and scarlet jacket

I'm at home tomorrow, and maybe Tuesday as well if my manager agrees (the doctor wrote that I'll be fit for work on 6th or 7th, why couldn't she make it clear?). Oh well. The tablets take effect, but slow, or maybe I'm expecting too much. But I definitely start getting a bit better.

Gosh, I really so much hate being sick!

On a bright side of life: I've made my darling Daniel two shirts, black and white. Both are of shiny fabric, both have eyelets for lacing in front, both have very puffy sleeves, both are decorated with lace on the collar and the cuffs.

I've started making a sleeveless jacket which will be of bright red (kinda scarlet I think) satin, so very shiny. Thinking of what else I could make red... Maybe hat, but not really sure... Not cape, as it won't fit the rest of the costume and the character itself. Well, just the jacket should be enough, as it'll be well seen.

I also wanna make loops for sword and dagger, and a pouch, maybe with Daniel's initials...

P.S. I have new LJ layout and new set of avatars, made of Petshop of Horrors manga. In fact, they all have D on them, I just like him too much...

P.P.S. Daniel will be wearing a ruby brooch, but I think maybe he should also wear perl earrings

Been to the doctor...

... she said it's viral. Prescribed me tablets, lozenges, and Vitamin C. Told me to take the Vitamin C twice a day for a week. The tablets pack says 2 tablets 4 times per day, and the pack has 24. Plus I got a paper saying I'll be fit to be back to work on 6th or 7th.

Minding all this, I assume I should be ok by Friday, which is bloody vitally important for me. Probably will take a supply of lozenges with me anyway, just in case.

Got a bunch of yummy food to make sure the question "to eat or not to eat" does not even arise. The throat feels good enough to eat, but I'm just not feeling hungry (so weird...). Well, a little chicken drumstick and two cups of broth should not be difficult ti fit in. Got more milk too, I really hate it, but hot milk with honey makes a very good impact on such condition. Ah, I hate honey too...

My tablets contain paracetamol... Means can't drink that lemon drink now, it has paracetamol too, and the overdose of it is quite bad. So broth and milk *sigh*. Well, tea too. Got  a chocolate bar for it.

I guess I shouldn't train tomorrow as I don't feel good enough for it. Funny, had no problems with bellydancing on Tuesday, but fighting makes me think I shouldn't do it yet...

Oh well, I'll see how it goes. Those blue tablets should help, I really hope so.

P.S. Looks like the blue tablets indeed cause drowsiness as the pack says, or maybe it's just sickness itself...

Cold back

Bugger, it's exactly same way as last Thursday, throat hurts more and more. When I realized it's the only thing I can think of, I asked my manager give me another sick leave, and went home.

Got to the pharmacy on the way home. Now I own a pack of Panadol Cold&Flu sashets for sore throat, and tree various types of lozenges. All I got is the stuff I've never tried before, as the stuff I tried before didn't work very fast, so I decided to see if there would be any difference.

Took one lozenge (the cheapest) on the way home, felt kinda better, but still not good enough.
Blowing the nose should be done very carefully, because it easily starts bleeding, and because when I've done it too strong I managed to almost spit my throat out, at least this is how it felt:-(

Had nice food, after which the throat felt a bit better. Then took one drink of Panadol. Makes me feel very nice. It should be taken with intervals not less than 4 hours, but if I need to sooth the throat in the interim, I have lozenges. One of them looks kinda cool, it has Manuka honey and Propolis. Says that Propolis may cause severe allergic reaction, but I don't think it's my case as I took Propolis often in Russian winters. I know it's a very effective thing, but I hope that Manuka honey makes the lozenges taste good, as Propolis itself is difficult in this relation;-)

The pack says maximum 5 per day, I should be ok... Well, I have other two types of lozenges as well.

Anyway, right now I'm sitting at home with Panadol, lozenges, milk and honey, some food supply, and weird feeling inside.

Trying to find good sides in it, I have more time for sewing *sigh*. I would definitely prefer to be healthy, but unfortunately nobody offers me to choose. I'm gonna do some sewing now, but will be careful, and if feel bad - just go to bed and sleep.

I hope tomorrow morning I'll be ok, I really hope. Don't like missing work; though did all current urgent stuff just yesterday, lucky-lucky! So if I have to stay home tomorrow - I will, but I hope I will be all right...

I wonder how it would be next Friday... I don't really wanna add "Likes French bonbons" to Daniel's character sheet and come with big supply of lozenges. Also minding this character was meant to be noisy and talkative! Gosh, I don't wanna change the concept AGAIN.

Wish me luck, and I'll go look after myself.

*fluffy hugs*

Am I allergic?

NAAMA people, anybody remembers how that little greenery called that we had for lunch? Not cabbage, but little green thingies, they are used kinda for taste?
Amd also, do you remember what kinds of cheese were there?

I'm asking because several months ago I had some cheese on a company party, and there also were chips with similar kind of greenery, and I had a kind of a rash on outside part of my hands, little red dots that later turned into rough irritated skin that was kinda harder and more uneven than normal. And right now I have exactly the same, the red dots appeared at NAAMA, so now it's rough.

It appears about two hours after the food, stays red for a couple of days, then gets rough for several days, then goes away. It's not a big deal, and in fact, I only notice it because I'm overparanoid about health, if you looked at me not knowing it's there you probably wouldn't even notice. It doesn't hurt, it doesn't itch, it's just there. The cheese and the greenery are the two things that I had in both cases, and they are also two things I normally don't eat. I'm just not into greenery, and my cheese is always hard, not softy things used for events. Everything else was only in one case (e.g. marchmallows on the party but not at NAAMA, apple pie at NAAMA but not at the party), and I also eat all those things from time to time and never have any reaction.

I've always used to think I'm not allergic to anything but knew I wouldn't be surprised to find that I actually am. If it's something I normally don't eat - good for me. So, do you think the described stuff looks like an allergy? If yes, are the greenery and particular types of cheese actually able to provoke allergic reaction? And if I go to appropriate doctor, can he just make a biochemical blood analysis or something similar to find out what I can be allergic to, or do I need to try things? I wanna know at least what it could be, and whether it's one of those, or both, or their combination... It's not an urgent matter, but just better know what's going on with your body *sigh*

First day in contacts

First time the doctor put them in, then offered me take them out, one came out soon probably by luck, the other one I totally couldn't deal with, he had to take it out himself. Geek, it must be hard to be an optometrist *sigh*.
He brought me another pair, bigger ones, I put them in, took one out, put back, and it was all done. He gave me four more pairs, one to leave till next visit, and I'll wear one tomorrow, and two others during the week, probably Tuesday and Wednesday.
Looks like I'm quite capable to put them on and off. It's a bit tricky, but for the first time I'm doing well, I think.
Most of time I don't feel them, sometimes they move inside a bit, but blinking adjusts them. Once I sneezed, and the left contact shifted and hurt, but half a minute later after much blinking it was ok. I see very well, and I look very cute. I wonder if that's the reason men look at me more often than usual, or I just see it better? *laugh* Now I can look nice and authentic for larps and other events, and I'll fight safely at NAAMA.
Ah yeah, I've been wearing contacts for 13 hours, and felt totally ok.

my tummy hurts

Can you get sick from a coffee? We usually have that coffee at work, well, it's far from perfect but usually ok, and this time it was suddenly different, smelled differently, and I can't even understand if it's good or bad. taste was ok, but now my tummy suddenly hurts, and I can't really find other reasons apart from the coffee, but it's stupid, you don't get hurt from coffee, do you?

So I'm sitting at work trying not to double up and somehow survive till the end of the work day. And today is bellydance! I so hope I'll get better by then, it't 3.5 hours to go, eek.

Trying to think of other reasons, as coffee look kinda stupid...

And apart from that I feel kinda cold-like sick. Maybe makes sense to buy an onion. In fact, I feel like I want an onion, just a bit, but still... Usually it's a sigh that my still-alive-body feels not good, as in normal condition I hate onion.

Yay bellydance!

I've got another bellydance music CD! Yay!
The first one I had was with dances that we learn, and this one is with warm-up music. Very-very cool.
But right now I'm so terribly sleeeeepy *yawn*. Feeling very tired, need to go to bed early *yawn* - something that I almost never manage to do. Internet is far too interesting.
My arms and hips are tired, but in whole I feel very nice. I cannot, like some of my friends, post regular descriptions of physical exercises, so I'm trying to pretend I'm doing something fit-keeping by mentioning sore hips after bellydance and bruises from swords;-)))
I think [info]clarieberry agrees with me that it all needs practicing and that we are gonna be very fit one day.
But I do understand more and more why they call it bellydance. It's kinda funny when you try to work with muscles about which you are not even sure they are there...

busy-busy!

Arm feels much better. Still hurts, but just a bit, only bad when touch uncarefully. So trying to stay careful.
Will go to bellydance tomorrow. And today to the Tolkien event. And on Wednesday - dance practice for Saturday's Frostbane festival. And on Sunday we'll be killing coke bottles with sharp swords. And on Friday there are movies, I think.
I only have Thursday free. Need to fill it with something.

Ok, here it is, what the Evil and the Eviller have tempted me to post.
Warning is serious, this does look bad.
Thi picture was taken three days ago, now it hurts significantly less (though still bad).

Life is nice, mostly

Ok, life seems to be quite nice.

Lunch is coming soon, I have pork and rice, and chocolate sandwiches. Weather is nice. Today is Wednesday - not yet Friday but not Monday already, so rather good. A friend of mine found wonderful job, and another friend decided to quit smoking. I'm making my character sheet for Ravenholme, and thinking of character for St Wolfgang. Oh, beautiful dresses! Puffy-puffy!

On the bad side, my arm hurts like hell today, dunno why. I think it might feel different in different days, but I see it gets better. Just very slooooooowly. Still, pain is suddenly stronger, and I have to be careful at work not to let anyone notice me twitching or shivering. It doesn't happen that often to think of going to see the doctor, it's just this whole injury thing. Bugger.

The Evil Twins TM ([info]cat_i_th_adage and [info]stephanie_pegg) are tempting me to post the picture of the wound here, and I'll probably do it tonight (oh dear, and I was going to seduce them to the Dark Side! I think they have been there long before me...). I took this picture yesterday, looked at it and cried. I didn't realize it looks so terrible. It's no more than skin damage, but just the look of it... Then there was "pain time" - applying the healing cream and quickly lying down on the bed before it starts acting. After several unpleasant minutes applied the bandage. I think the area of the damage gets smaller as the little scratches are already partially healed, but the main part is still bad... I also feel cold, maybe because of this condition too, but firstly because I can't put much clothes on, can hardly get the arm through one sleeve.

I'm hungry. Hopefully will feel better after getting food.

Edit: feeling much better indeed. Yay food!

I wanna...

I wanna...
I wanna grow my hair long-long-long...
I wanna get a slim waist...
I wanna make a tattoo...
I wanna learn bellydance...
I wanna get handcuffs...

Ok, hair is growing itself, and next week I'll make the haircut - to get rid of the light bleached stuff on it, as it is now long enough, I think. Plus it needs to be a bit trimmed to look not that messy. After I get rid of the light thingies I can at last strat growing it. It actually grows pretty quickly, so hopefully I'll soon come to my normal image.

Back to fetishism: cuffs

Grrrrr!
I need distraction again, not to fall back to the depression.
There are no reasons for it, in fact, there is more reason for joy as I seem to become slightly less fat than I was several months ago.
But this is a beast that has too many teeth to let you go easily, and when you think you got freed from it you suddenly find that half of the teeth are still stuck in your flesh.

So let's talk more about cuffs. Whatever. Just not to think of the bloody 67 kilos.
