Aaah, bloody hell!!!

My landlord just called me. My contract expires two weeks from now, she asked me if I wanna prolong it for another year. She's happy with me staying there but she wants to increase the price for $5 per week. That made me rather sad, but the appartment is just too good, so I agreed. Well, it's not that terribly much *sigh*.

I'm meeting with her on 3 November to arrange new contract, and she said there will also be some kind of appartment evaluation to be made by someone, not sure exactly what it is. She said I don't need to be there, but I actually would prefer to be. I talked to my manager, we'll arrange the time off work for me so I can sort it all out.

Anybody knows what kind of evaluation that would be and what I can expect from it?

Oh, by the way: today is exactly three months after I lodged my Application for Residence.
They said it will take from 3 to 6 months.
So from now on I can start expecting the results *sigh*

Gosh, I feel so incredibly adult, dealing with all those things!

NZ Residence

Hopefully I'll be able to pay for my Expression of Interest in the end.
Spent the whole week fighting the online system of payment, contacted Immigration people, they are nice and helpful now.
My credit card seems to be unavailable for payment, and, knowing how this bank works, I wouldn't be surprise if I find out they have frozen the possibility to pay for some weird reasons which only they know, and justify it as an urgent necessity.
Well, of course everybody knows why they really do those things. I'll need to call my Dad and ask him to find out what the hell is happening with the bloody card.
Till then will try to take money through ATM from this card, though not sure it will let me do it.

Reading Friends page and seeing that people have REAL problems is upsetting, and all I can do for them is send healing thoughts. Bad. Got very depressed after going through all those new posts.
Full chaos at work, the big cheeses have come from UK and we see them around office pretty much all the week. Pretty much abnormal too.
I found the prices I have to pay for all the stuff to get New Zealand Permanent Residence. I will not pronounce those prices here, as people who may read this have other things to worry about apart from getting a heart attack from observing those numbers.
Looks like three dollars per daily food should be enough to survive, though big cheap packs of rice are not included as I rarely get them and they really stay for a long time.
No matter what the hell they say in "X-men" survivor is an animal with claws. These are synonims.
No matter how many good things are around, the depression comes back.
Do I have anything pleasurable?
Chicken. Chocolate. Nice fabrics and threds. Nice book. I will have it all later today.
Friends. I will see none of them today, but that's ok, I know they exist, it is not empty around.
Anger. The only bloody thing that can cut my depression immediately.
And exactly after I've typed that, the things started improving.
Killing depression with your claws - this is what survival is.
Have a nice day everyone.

List of things to do

There are things to be done...

I need to go through Immigration Service website and understand the process of submitting the Expression of Interest for residence. I need to finish some other stuff that is not yet done but the faster I do it the better it would be.

I have heaps of fabrics and I need to sew lots of things, including possum cape, white tunic for dagger grade and some more viking dresses. And I really want to make embroidery, it's just so much a thing for me to do. I really like needleworking, don't even know why so much.

I need to buy spring steel for daggers and actually make the daggers. I need to make chainmail gloves. I need to get more rings and make a chainmail. I also need to get a helmet, don't even know where this can be obtain from. Luckily I have enough people around to ask.

I need to pay for the archery club and buy equipment (bow, arrows, etc.). And update Fanyare website. And upload photos to internet. And get the old photos from old computer where they stay.

I need to apply and pay for St Cath, and also buy a tent to stay at St Cath (and in whole I wanna have my own tent - that seems to be a good thing to have for every occasion).

Hmm, did I forget anything? Ah, yeah, I need to actually pass the dagger grade. And learn some more medieval dances. Including belly dance.

Well, I seem to be pretty busy.

P.S. And I also need to memorize my part of the play, I'm Dame Siriz, an old procuress.

Today I've been to the lawer and we made the Power of Attorney from me to my dad, so he can make the last needed document for my work visa in Russia. Life is good.
The lawer surprisingly looked very much like Adam, though definitely older than him. And he speaks and behaves very much the same way. It was very interesting to observe. Well, the main thing is that he's a professional and I'll have my document tomorrow (I could have it today if I had passport with me:))
Back to Adam: [info]thulrandir has given me an amazing amount of inspiration with his comment, and I produced something like an instruction for beginner bodyguards:))))) Here it is.

The rules of treating the Elf Prince.

  1. Never let the Elf Prince stay unguarded. If he’s left alone for 5 second, that will be enough for him to escape. Always watch the doors, the windows, and the chimney (the last one may be inappropriate if your Elf Prince is wearing white robe).
  2. If you observe your Elf Prince in the process of escaping, follow him as fast as possible, but do not let yourself to be noticed. Guard the Elf Prince from a distance of approximately 8 – 10 metres and try to stay invisible for as long as possible; then, when the Elf Prince comes to the place where he is escaping, it will be too late for him to escape again. P.S. The Elf Prince may become so much surprised with the fact of your invisible chasing that he will need some time to get his thoughts together for organizing new escape.
  3. Gipsy camp is a good place for guarding the Elf Prince because the Elf Prince will be sitting and listening to the Gipsy songs as long as they go on, and with such attention which you could never expect from a person who never listens to your warnings of danger.
  4. Gipsy camp is a bad place for guarding the Elf Prince, especially at night, because you have to guard the whole big perimeter of the camp. If you meet some Berium Guards while walking along the perimeter, ask them to go check those bushes which move quite suspiciously (just forget about the strong wind). Most probably the Guards will not find anyone there and will be rather angry, but just let them make this contribution into your Elf Prince’s safety.
  5. If the enemies appear while you are in the Gipsy camp and the Elf Prince runs to meet them too fast for you to come before him, go behind him, catch him by his robe and pull him away from the little staircase which he’s trying to climb up to greet the zombies. Do your best to climb before him, and if you can’t – follow him while not letting his robe go. If you let it go, the speed of the Elf Prince will increase significantly and you are unlikely to catch him for the second time. P.S. During the pulling conversations like “My lord, you will not go there!” “Yes, I will!” “NO, YOU WILL NOT!!!” are ok.
  6. If there is a dead body which doesn’t want to stay still as a normal dead, but moves again and again, and it lies in the inn that belongs to the Elf Prince, try to get rid of the body as soon as possible, because while everybody is escaping, is finishing escaping, has already escaped, the Elf Prince will still stay in the inn and scandalously demand to move the body out. Of these two (the Elf Prince and the undead) the aggressive unkillable evil creature is much easier to be moved against its will.
  7. Always remember to keep an eye on your Elf Prince’s sword and shield, he will be forgetting them everywhere. Your main aim in this situation is to run after the Elf Prince holding his sword and shield before he bumps into a trouble while having no weapon. That means you have to be able to run VERY FAST.
  8. If you are running through the forest while the Dark Ones are after you, and the Elf Prince suddenly stops and gives you his shield saying he doesn’t need it, and refuses to take it back, ask the Elf Prince for permission to go in front of him and guard him with his shield. That will not restraint his freedom but will let you be another shield for your lord, therefore he will have two while naively thinking he has none.
  9. Do your best to not be killed, otherwise you’ll not be able to protect your Elf Prince any more, and he will be very likely to get a tentacle.
